Julia Bridges, MA

Mental Health Counselor

Therapy makes facing challenges easier.

Each of us faces unique challenges, trying to figure out who we are and how best to live our lives.

Understanding what’s outside our control vs. what we can do will help us move in the direction we want.

I am here to help kids, teens, and young adults who may struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, or other challenges in their daily life.

In therapy, we use mindfulness to discover what your body and emotions have to say. We also explore what’s important to you and how to go for it!

How I Work

My trauma-informed practice builds on Family Systems Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I know from experience that healing happens in safe relationships, so I strive to provide compassion, co-regulation, and non-judgmental curiosity to each person I work with.

I have a Master’s in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University, Chicago. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various community and mental health settings, ranging from private homes and non-profit ministries to public schools and inpatient psychiatric units.

On a different note, I am also a musician, dog mom, yogi, and nature lover.
